Meet Ken Ouko, Founder and CEO
Ken Ouko, Founder of Ken’s Money Matters, isn’t just a Finance and Investment Coach; he’s someone who has turned his own financial struggles into powerful lessons for others. Growing up, Ken didn’t have much knowledge about managing money. His family, like most traditional African families, didn’t involve kids in money matters such as earning, saving, investing, or budgeting, which made handling finances quite challenging for him.
Determined to change his financial future, Ken dove into the world of forex trading. Initially, he faced significant hurdles and even lost money. These losses were tough and disheartening, but they were also crucial learning experiences. Ken didn’t give up; instead, he used these setbacks as stepping stones to deepen his understanding of finance.
Academically, Ken has pursued extensive studies, earning degrees in Political Science, International Economic Law, International Development, and an MBA in Finance and Banking. His academic achievements have laid a solid groundwork, but his real growth comes from overcoming the financial problems he faced firsthand.
From dealing with debt to recovering from trading losses, Ken has tackled many financial issues. He knows the frustration of watching investments go wrong and the struggle of trying to make ends meet. These experiences give him a unique perspective and make his coaching genuinely valuable.
Due to his desire for freedom and independence, he has acquired knowledge and experience on Financial Literacy and it is his dream to share it with as many people as possible.
As Ken expresses, “My drive and passion to pass down my knowledge about money and make it as practical and easy as possible is informed by the need to uplift people and travel this journey of financial literacy, freedom and independence together.”
